What is a gift?

To send a gift with Vipps makes it even more fun to give and even nicer to receive monetary gifts.
When you send a gift in Vipps, you can choose the wrapping of the gift and the time it will be sent. You can either send the gift immediately or at a future time, but no later than 3 months from when you create the gift. You can also include a nice message that will be displayed when the gift is opened 🤩
The recipient of the gift will receive a push notification from Vipps on the date you have chosen for the gift to be sent. The gift will open inside Vipps, with a cute little animation and a sprinkle of confetti.
Sending a gift in Vipps costs 8 NOK, but is free for those under 15 years of age. If you send a gift over 5 000 NOK, you will not pay 8 NOK for the gift, but instead the usual fee of 1%. You can always choose to send money in the usual way if you prefer.
