What is a box?

Box is a function in Vipps that makes it easy to collect money for a shared fund. When you create a box, it automatically gets its own box number that other Vipps users can easily pay money into. You can easily see the payments in the box overview in Vipps 💸

• The money collected stays in the box – not in your own bank account. It is not automatically transferred to your account, as it usually is when you receive money on Vipps. This makes it easy to keep the box money separate from the rest of your finances.
• You can also pay out money to your own account. Open the box and select Pay out. It usually takes one to three working days before the money is in your account.
