My child cannot see account balance in Vipps
The child's bank must support balance viewing in Vipps. All banks support this except for Nordea and Næringsbanken.
If you get a message stating that the balance is unavailable, we have created a checklist you either know yourself or can check with the bank if it is fulfilled:
- The child must be the primary owner of the account
- The child must be the user of the online banking agreement linked to the account
- The child's account must be a deposit or credit account
- The account cannot have a lock-in period
- The account must be flagged as "Allows debit" on the self-service agreement
- The account must not be "blocked". This is related to point 2 regarding restricted access to the online banking agreement
Remember that you also need to allowed that the child can see their balance. You do this under 'Me' in your own Vipps, then the child's name, and then turn on 'Allow the child to see the balance'.
