What is a Vipps number?
A Vipps number is a simple way for your customers to pay your business with Vipps. Customers can search for your business or enter your Vipps number in the app, or simply scan your QR code.
How it works in practice
- Share your Vipps number - Display your Vipps number or QR code at the counter, on receipts, in your shop window, or wherever your customers need to pay.
- The customer opens Vipps - They search for your business, enter your Vipps number, or scan your QR code.
- The customer chooses what to pay for - What happens next depends on your setup:
- Open amount: The customer enters the amount they want to pay.
- Shopping basket: The customer selects products from your product list, and the total amount is calculated automatically.
- Payment Request: You send a payment reqiest to the customer’s app (using their phone number); they receive it and pay it in the app. Used for online or remote sales.
- The customer pays - The customer confirms the payment in Vipps, and you can see the payment right away.

Get Paid
The Get Paid app ties it all together. The app is included with Vipps number and makes it easier to manage your payments. You can see payments as they happen, get notifications, keep an eye on today’s sales, and more. You can even use Get Paid to accept card payments.
