What is a beneficial owner?
A beneficial owneris a person who, through their ownership or voting rights, either alone or together with others, controls the business. If the ownership or voting rights exceed 25%, this person is considered a beneficial owner. If the entity is, for example, an association, one can be a beneficial owner by having decisive influence in the form of your role as, for example, CEO/chairman of the board/board member or by being granted the right to sign or power of attorney.
