Does it cost anything to send money abroad?

Sending money abroad with Vipps costs 4% of the amount you send.

When you enter the amount that you want to send, Vipps calculates approximately how many Swedish kroner will be deducted from your card. The exchange rate you see in Vipps is from Norges Bank and shows approximately how much that will be deducted. However, it is your bank’s exchange rate that ultimately determines the exact amount deducted.

Here's an example: You send 100 NOK to your friend Linn in Norway. A payment of 100 NOK gives approximately 94 SEK when you convert the currency. After that, we charge a fee of 4% of the 100 NOK, and then the total price for sending the 100 NOK is approximately 98 SEK. In addition, your bank may charge a separate currency conversion fee for the transfer.
